The much awaited desktop PC OS Windows 8 public beta is set to release in late February 2012 according to sources close to Microsoft revealed.
The Next Web reports points to the February release date for Windows 8 Public beta, citing sources close to Microsoft. It clears up a lot of the speculation over exactly when Windows 8 is set to arrive in beta form. It was already speculated that Windows 8 will release in 2012, with the February beta adding further weight to this rumour.
Windows 8 brings cross platform operating system designed for both desktop and tablets. Microsoft has jumped from it’s traditional bandwagon and bringing new metro UI to Windows 8 for desktops inherited from Windows Phone.
Chances are that we may see Windows 8 public beta in MWC (mobile world congress) in 2012 and final build of it might release somewhere near to 2012 Christmas.
