Microsoft Windows Phone MarketPlace is now live on Web. The Web market place for Windows Phone users allow to select and buy Apps within the browser. Windows Phone users will be able to purchase applications and have them charged against the credit card already linked to their Windows Live ID. The Web Marketplace will send an over-the-air SMS or email to Windows Phone devices with a link to the purchased application to make it easy for end users to retrieve their purchases.

The site can be accessed through the newly redesign portal both in Germany and here in the US. Going to the Marketplace, you can browser, search and try out any of the 30,000+ apps that are available.

Each listing displays the full description, screenshots, reviews, compatibility information and other categorical data. Microsoft has also included a “Related Apps” feature to drive clickthroughs to other apps, increasing their visibility on the Marketplace.
