Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Now Richer Than Google Founders, Bill Gates Remains on Top

According to Forbes Annual “Richest People In America” list, Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook has now personal net worth of $17.5 billion beating Google Founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page for the first time. Bill Gates as usual remains on the top of the list with net worth of $59 billion.

Mark Zuckerberg is the only guy with enormous rise in the personal net worth from last one year on the list and jumped from spot 35 to 14 beating Google founders (Brin and Page each have net worths of $16.7 billion, placing them both at number 15).

Mark is just below Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos (spot 13), who has a personal fortune worth $19.1 billion, according to Forbes.

Here’s a look at some of the search/tech personalities in the top 100 of Forbes’ list:

1. Bill Gates, $59 billion
13. Jeff Bezos, $19.1 billion
14. Mark Zuckerberg, $17.5 billion
15. Sergey Brin, $16.7 billion
15. Larry Page, $16.7 billion
19. Steve Ballmer, $13.9 billion
39. Steve Jobs, $7 billion
50. Pierre Omidyar, $6.2 billion
50. Eric Schmidt, $6.1 billion
91. Dustin Moskovitz, $3.5 billion

It is relatively a bit shocking news for Apple fans and readers as why Steve Jobs is on 39 rather than in the top ten list well Most of Jobs’s wealth is in the form of preferentially owned stock. He owns about 5 million shares of Apple and 138 million shares of Disney, which he received when Disney bought Pixar, according to CNNMoney.
