Apple Releases iOS 4.3.5 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad

Apple has just released iOS 4.3.5 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The update appears to be a minor one that fixes a vulnerability. The new version checks in as Build 8L1, and is for the GSM iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, all iPads, and the third- and-fourth-generation iPod touch. A separate iOS 4.2.10 (Build 8E600) is available for the CDMA iPhone.

As you can see in below screenshot iOS 4.3.5 fixes A security vulnerability with certification validation.

iOS 4.3.5 is available immediately through iTunes.

Hope someone can answer my question.

Why do I have to download the updates separately for iPhone and iPad? I usually have to do 2 downloads, one for my iPhone and one for the iPad. I have limited internet bandwidth and its very frustrating to be downloading what is essentially the same iOS update twice. Any help greatly appreciated.
