iPhone Dev Team has release an updated version of RedSn0w 0.9.6rc15 to untethered Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3. RedSn0w 0.9.6 rc15 is available for both Mac and Windows users. Here is the tutorial on how to jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G, iPad on the 4.3.3 firmware using RedSn0w 0.9.6rc15. The new Redsn0w 0.9.6rc15 is based on @i0n1c untethered exploit that means you don’t need to plug in your iPhone every time you reboot it.
NOTE: Ultrasn0w unlockers must stay away from redsn0w! Use only a custom IPSW to update to 4.3.3, to avoid updating your baseband. Use Pwnage Tool 4.3.3 to create Custom IPSW of iOS 4.3.3.
Pre-requisites
- An iPhone 4, 3GS or iPod Touch 4G, 3G or iPad
- iTunes 10.2.2 installed on your computer.
- Download iOS 4.3.3 on your desktop
- Download Redsn0w 0.9.6RC15
How To: Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 Untethered using RedSn0w 0.9.6RC15 on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad:
Step1: Restore iOS 4.3.3 on your iOS device and keep it connected to your computer via USB.
*You can skip this step if you’re already running iOS 4.3.3/tethered jailbroken iOS 4.3.3.
Step2: Open RedSn0w 0.9.6 RC15 and point it to the official iOS 4.3.3 firmware file.
Step3: Now check Cydia and click next.
Step4: Please plug your iPhone into the computer and make sure its OFF then click the Next button.
Step5: RedSn0w will now guide you on how to put your device in DFU mode. follow the steps carefully till your device get’s into DFU mode.
Step6: One in DFU mode your iPhone will restart, Now, just wait while Redsn0w gets installed and jailbreaks your device. Once finished your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will restart automatically.
NOTE: Any Windows users seeing “Waiting for reboot” for too long (more than 20 seconds or so), please try “shaking” the JB process by unplugging then replugging your USB cable (while letting redsn0w continue to run). Also, try using a USB port “closer” to your computer (as opposed to on your monitor or behind another hub).
