Yesterday Samsung launched two of their best tablets Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The overall design and features of these new Galaxy Tabs Will definitely give a tough fight to the Apple iPad 2.

One of the best feature of Apple iPad 2 was it’s thickness, but now Samsung claimed their Galaxy Tabs are the world most thinnest Tablets. Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 are only 8.6 mm thick where as iPad is 8.8 mm.

One other major difference between iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 are the OS running on both the Tablets. iPad 2 is powered by it’s own Apple iOS, where as Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 running Google Tablet optimized Android OS Honeycomb.

If you are a big fan of apps and Games so Apple App Store is God of Apps and Games with a huge number of apps available for iPad 2, Android also has a big variety of apps in their Market place but it will take time to compete with Apple App Store.

Android tablets should mature a few years more. Currently, the best choice is surely iPad 2 thanks to wide apps base, weight, slimness, design and long battery life.

  your wrong because the galaxy tab 10.1 and 8.9 are lighter,thinner,with a bigger screen 10.1 vs 9.7 and the galaxy tab 2 is actually the thinnest and lightest tablet out in the market and it also has the best screen because is TFT that is because samsung is the best tv maker in the market and they also have the best screens in the tv’s that’s the main reason why they have the best screens in TV,CELL PHONES ,AND TABLETS and the battery is actually the same in the ipad 2 and galaxy tab 2 they both have 10 hrs of use and the design in ipad 2 is good but the design in the galaxy tab 2 is better for me i like the ipad 2 but in apple you can’t have flash player,hdmi output,no to much personalization and i have an itouch so why i want a ipad 2 if the ipod touch 4g is the same thing as the ipad 2 the only thing that the ipod touch doesnt have is a big screen the ipad doesnt have a sowtware design for a tablet all they did is copy the software from the iphone 4 and the itouch to the ipad 2 thats why Android made a software design for tablets which is (HONEYCOMB) and something that steve jobs didnt mension on the ipad 2 presentation is that all the developers are moving to Android.

So many wrong info on 8.9 spec
