Adobe has now finally revealed the new “Wallaby” which is an Flash-to-HTML5 Converter tool. It’s basically built for those devices which does not support Flash such as Apple’s iPhone. This is an great tool for Website developers, as it gives you the Drag And Drop Functionality of an Flash content into an Adobe Air application which will then convert it into HTML 5.
This software has been codenamed “Wallaby”. It’s basically all about advertisements, Flash-based ads don’t work on Apple‘s iOS devices, so Adobe claims its new tool will enable site builders to convert their fancy commercials into HTML5. And it will simply make it run on Mobile Browsers such as Safari for iOS devices.
According to Adobe Labs:
“Wallaby” is the codename for an experimental technology that converts the artwork and animation contained in Adobe® Flash® Professional (FLA) files into HTML. Wallaby is not a final product and is still in the testing and validation phase. We are not yet able to commit to a roadmap for this experimental technology.
This new Conversion tool will bring much opportunities to the developers, as it will allow them to easily convert their Flash websites and web applications. And then they can easily run them on non flash Devices such as iPhone etc.
